At RL-a, we believe in the transformative power of design to shape a better world, with our work guided by core studio principles that encompass our design and building processes.

Founded on the principles of collaboration and creativity, our multidisciplinary team brings together diverse expertise to tackle projects of varying scales and complexities. From high-end residential developments to commercial spaces and cultural institutions, we approach each project with a progressive viewpoint and the purpose of creating timeless designs.

Our ethos is rooted in a deep appreciation for the environment and its profound effect on individuals and communities alike. We understand that great architecture goes beyond structures; it is about creating meaningful experiences, nurturing connections, and enriching lives.

Driven by a spirit of connection, regeneration, and longevity, we embrace cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices to push the boundaries of what's possible. Whether it's integrating passive design principles, harnessing renewable energy sources, or championing inclusive design, we strive to create spaces that not only inspire but also nourish and endure.

At RL-a, our mission is simple: to create architecture that stands the test of time, elevates the human experience, and leaves a lasting legacy for generations to come. Join us on our journey as we continue to shape the future of architecture, one project at a time.

Let's create something extraordinary together.

Tim

Tim studied a range of creative disciplines including, painting, sculpture and environmental design at Chelsea College of Art and Design and it was here he developed an appreciation for the skill, collaboration and art of designing the built environment. He followed this with a degree in Interior Design at Kingston University under Fred Scott and Leyton Reid where he combined art with architecture and developed a social awareness of the importance and benefits of quality buildings. To formalise and continue his architectural education he completed his Diploma in Architecture at UCL, Bartlett School of Architecture where he met Tam.

Tim has a breadth of experience working on small-scale, high-end residential projects throughout London. He has also worked with John McAslan on Bond Street Crossrail Station and Pune Cricket Stadium with industry pioneers Hopkins Architects. His ability to skip between large and small scales in both practice and detail is exemplary of his thoroughness of approach to architecture and his ability to create spaces both humble and humbling.

Tim is a certified Passive House Designer and is straight-forward, plain-talking and often wears a frown despite secretly enjoying the complexities of architecture.
